The first set of vaccinations should be given at 5-6 months of age and should include:

  1. EEE/WEE (Eastern Equine Encephalomyelitis and Western equine encephalomyelitis) with booster 3-4 weeks later and again 3 months after 2nd booster
  2. Tetanus with booster 3-4 weeks later and then again 3 months after 1st booster
  3. Rhinopneumonitis (EHV-1 and EHV-4) and Influenza with booster 3-4 weeks later and then again 3 months after 1st booster
  4. West Nile Virus with booster 3-4 weeks later
  5. Rabies with booster 3-4 weeks later
  6. Strangles with booster 3-4 weeks later – this vaccine is best given in the rear-end as it can cause soreness, but care should be taken not to hit the sciatic nerve
